Dela K'Vari was chief engineer aboard the ISS Descent for a short while, before being demoted. (Star Trek: Shattered Universe ) Dela was quiet but observant. She wasn't a standard Betazoid, preferring machines over people. It was a result that may have been due to her being "born on": as in, she achieved her full telepathic abilities earlier then puberty. As a result, Dela retreated back from her powers (which made her as strong as a full telepath) and developed an aptitude for engineering.
