Prince Don Giuseppe Sayd Buttigieg was a son of Prince Don Giovanni-Maria Sayd and Princess Donna Giovanna Sayd Buttigieg. On the 17th day of June, 1618, Prince Don Giuseppe married Miss Agatha Madiona, at the Cathedral of Assumption, Citadel, Victoria, Gozo, Malta. Being Prince Don Sayd, Prince Don Giuseppe was an owner and possessor of the old precious 'Sayd Princely Ring'. He was a patrilineal descendant of Sultan Mehmed II of Turkey through the latter's son, Cem Sultan.
