Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed are the secondary antagonists of Disney's 1994 film, The Lion King and the main antagonists of its 2004 interquel The Lion King 1½. They were a trio of hyena's that acted as Scar's former henchmen. Shenzi was voiced by Whoopi Goldberg and Tress MacNeille, Banzai was voiced by Cheech Marin and Rob Paulsen, and Ed was voiced by Jim Cummings (who also played Scar, Razoul, Hernán Cortés and Rasputin).
