Jonothan was the daemon of senator and Rebel Head-of-State Mon Mothma. He took the form of a pigeon because of Mothma's serenity, wisdom, and virtuous nature. Jonothan helped Senator Mothma with working out what to talk about in Senate sessions, and agreed that no military solution could end the Clone Wars. After the rise of the Empire, he convinced Mothma to listen to Bail Organa and pretend to support the new Emperor while secretly preparing to overthrow him, and helped her handle the responsibilities of leading an entire small Rebellion against the Imperial juggernaut.
