Commissar Sergei Malik was the head of the Committee for Public Security in Remonton in 1016 AE when the city was briefly ruled by the Proninist Party. He was captured and taken into custody after the Second Battle of Remonton when Marcus Sarillius reclaimed the city. He told Marcus that the Proninists would return to Remonton and put an end to Marcus's rule someday. This speech in part prompted Marcus to form the Grand Alliance again in order to protect Remon from the Proninist menace.
