The Great Martian Lakes are a group of large bodies of water located in the Dahu Region of the planet Mars deep in the frontier. Formally large craters, there are in total, 14 bodies of water that make up the great lakes, they are, in order of size from biggest to smallest, Lake Bernadette, Lake Lancaster, Lake Victoria, Lake Fayhed, Lake Tonggao, Lan Shui Lake, Double Tree Lake, Xiaoxiong Lake, Forestview Lake and Lake Kasmir. The lakes are surrounded by an area of Fertile Farm Land, and many towns and settlments have been built in the area. There are also areas of thick forest.
