The current TSA carryon restriction for containers of liquids & gels is 3 ounces. To be precise, it is 100 milliliters, which is actually 3.4 ounces. Each person is allowed to carry on one quart-size, clear ziplock bag of liquids in containers of 3 oz or less. If you have medically necessary liquids, such as contact lens solutions or breast milk, etc., there is no restriction on how much you can carry on. You will need to take it out of your bag for the security folks to inspect. There is no limit on liquids for checked bags, as long as they are not a banned substance, such as cooking fuel.
