These stones are collected as part of the quest Legacy of the Sorcerer Kings, given by Khadgar in Zangarra, Talador. The quest is part of a lengthy chain which culminates in the player obtaining a legendary ring. The quest requires a player to collect 125 of these stones. The start of this quest chain begins here.
