Fardo Andrus is the father of Cort and was once the Bondsman of Gilead training Gunslinger's to be men and how to wield a gun. He decided to adopt Eldred Jonas as his son after seeing him gracefully exercising some horses, and began his training as a gunslinger. Eventually however, after the effects of the Laughing Mirror on Eldred he confronted him and admonished him causing his adopted son to demand his test of manhood.
