Detention Block 2180 was a prisoner detainment area on the first Death Star. At the very beginning of the Galactic Civil War, this block held prisoners of war associated with the early Rebel Alliance. In 0 BBY, when the battle station was in the final phases of construction, a Jedi being held with the other Rebels devised a plan to help the inmates escape the station in a quickly growing uprising. However, the stormtroopers of the 501st Legion managed to put down the riot, killing or capturing all the escaped prisoners.
