Nicole confronts the Wu's in a temple, asking through her translator to speak to them. However, she reacts with confusion and they tell Nicole to go away even when she persists. Later, House realizes that her reaction was the result of her believing her daughter had been killed shortly after birth, and that they had probably tried to kill Nicole by inserting pins through her still forming skull.
