In Super Metroid, the creatures that oddly resemble monkeys will teach Samus Aran how to wall jump. They also appeared in Metroid Fusion, suggesting that some of them survived the destruction of Zebes, as they were found on the Biologic Space Labs, where Samus freed the creatures.
