Vrool Katare was an Utai Sith that founded the True Jedi Alliance along with Ouiga Vod. He and Ouiga fell to the dark side while they were with the New Jedi Order, and created the Alliance from it in 12 ABY, claiming to be "nobler" Jedi. They continued to use this facade to recruit many unknowing members for years, and slowly attempted to corrupt them over to the dark side. It wasn't until 19 ABY that the Order took notice of their actions and attacked them over Onderon. Vrool used the attack as cover to kill Kugahtaro Leihai, a TJA member he felt would never fall to the Sith path.
