The Green Pastures is a Farm Upgrade that was released on 10 December 2009 to FarmVille. This feature allows a farmer to change their landscape back to green after purchasing the Snow Blanket, Tuscan Green or Desert Plains feature. As of May 11, 2010, the landscapes have been optimized to improve performance. As such, you may notice that the appearance of the Landscapes is slightly different. This farm upgrade is also the default farm landscape; Lush Green Farmland.
