Molly the Blue Monster is the official mascot for the New York Yankees. Molly debuted on February 2, 2009 to the chagrin of many older Yankee fans. Although she was a hit with children, older fans did not immediately adopt her as part of the franchise. As of 2010, Molly has become more accepted by fans of all ages, largely due to Yankee "legend" Yogi Berra creating stories about her and sharing them during his NO Network special "Yogi and a Porno."
