Players can ask the gardener for assistance in watching over their teak tree for a payment of 15 limpwurt roots, which may only be worth paying when the growth of the teak tree is important due to the cost of the 15 limpwurt roots versus teak seeds. However, only about 1/8 of planted teak saplings die, so it is normally cheaper on average to just use supercompost and not pay the gardener.
