Briargrass was a species of grass found in the Deepwoods. Although not much is known about Briargrass, it may be presumed that Briar- indicates a usually woody and thorny or prickly stem, uncommon for grass, but much like the Briar Lilies and the Spikebriars that grew in the Thorn Forests.
