Modifications can be unlocked for all vehicles except for models that bear the Need for Speed logo (File:NFS Logo Twitter.png) alongside their name in the vehicle selection segment of EasyDrive. Standard modifications have a differing set of requirements that the player has to meet before they are unlocked for that vehicle. Standard modifications will improve some aspects of a vehicle's performance at the expense of other aspects. The Burn Nitrous modification and Car Jacker modification are unlocked for all vehicles at SpeedLevel 1. Sweet Revenge modifications can not be upgraded to Pro status.
