Hangar 85G became a battleground when a number of Rebel prisoners escaped from their cells on the Death Star and attempted to flee the battle station. A group of would-be escapees, led by a Jedi Padawan, blasted its way into Hangar 85G, and commandeered a transport. However, the stormtroopers of the 501st Legion countered the prison break, killing the escapees including the Jedi. Hangar 85G was secured, and the threat passed.
