The Ichiwa-kai (一和会) is a Sixth World yakuza syndicate that was formed in 1984 from an internal struggle for succession within the Yamaguchi-gumi, and primarily operates in the Philippines. Having abandoned most of their offices in Japan in the 2010s, the Ichiwa-kai took control of most prosititution in Olangapo, turning the city into a sex tourism hotspot, and have since expanded to Manila and San Fernando. The Ichiwa-kai’s business has its hand in gambling, extractions, and assassination, and encompasses sixty percent of all non-Huk related crime within the Philippines.
