In 17 ABY, Kiri and several other Jedi Initiates were captured by Aurejin, who had turned to the Dark Side and attempted to bring them to Vadim. The Younglings were rescued by Johanna and Darth Malign who joined forces to stop Aurejin and save the children. Kiri was extremely precocious and bright for his age, and often startled even other Jedi with his Force abilities. His ability to see both into the past and the future seemed to be his strongest gift as a child, and he was used to having dreams and hunches that often came true.
