Phineas Tarbolde was an author from Canopus Planet in the 20th century. Tarbolde wrote the love sonnet "Nightingale Woman" in the year 1996. (TOS episode: "Where No Man Has Gone Before") Tarbolde was helped in his writing by a non-corporeal being known as Onaya, who had previously been the "muse" of John Keats among hundreds others and eventually Jake Sisko.
