The Laurasian Empire is a galaxy-spanning empire which encompasses the Caladarian Galaxy and its two satellite galaxies, the Great Tesmanian Cloud and the Angelina Spiral. It obtained its current territorial extent on January 26, 1797, when the Final Treaty for the Dissolution of the Dejanican-Lithuanian Commonwealth was formally concluded. Over the course of the preceding four and a half centuries, dating to the end of the Great Briannian War in 1321, the Empire had gradually expanded from its initial position in the north-western Core Worlds, to encompassing all of civilized space and becoming one of the leading powers of extra-galactic civilization.
