Massassi trees were purple-barked trees native to Yavin 4. The trees featured huge crowns and upsweeping branches and were capable of reaching 200 meters in height. Nebula orchids and ferns climbed on them. The thick mulch from their bark and leaves nourished blueleaf shrubs. The tree received its name because it was the most common species around the Massassi temple ruins.
