The Chain of Creation refers to a series of linked parallel universes which can be traversed by worlds known as threshold worlds that overlap into their adjacent universes. Perimal Darkling breached the barrier between the outer void and the Chain of Creation some thirty millenia ago, and has been devouring these universes one at a time, fought by the Kencyrath.
