Its aim is to protect the beautiful natural environment of the island. Building is forbidden in the park, although this precaution is probably unnecessary as Novosevensk is unlikely to grow much in the future. The Church of St. Abraham is located in the middle of the park and is surrounded by grasses, mosses and small plants. The park was only given official status on 7th July 2010, although the land around Novosevensk had informally been known as Abraham Park for some time.
