Caroline Bogunov was a Mesan citizen and slaver. In 1922 PD, she served as captain of the Jessyk Combine slaving vessel Prince Sundjata, and evacuated a number of Mesan Alignment scientists and their GAUL handler as part of Operation Houdini. In the Balcescu System, her ship was almost caught by a Royal Torch Navy raiding force, but, unlike the fellow slaver Luigi Pirandello, managed to escape into hyperspace. After a violent altercation between the scientists and their handler that left two people dead, Bogunov confined the survivor to a single cell. (CS3)
