The Invasion of the Catpire was a conflict during and after the Clone Wars. Many planets were won over by the Catpire. The Galactic Senate did not notice the Catpire incursion until they took Centax 2, at which point a Republic task force was sent to the moon but never heard from again. After the Clone Wars, it was discovered the invasion was part of Palpatine's plan to create the Galactic Empire.
