Giant sloths are occasionally encountered. They are not aggressive towards the player and are exclusively vegetarian. However, they are much taller than a human, have very high HP and claws the length of a man's arm. Because they are also unable to climb very fast and only very large trees can carry them, they tend to retaliate when attacked, but are hard to provoke. Sloths sometimes appear as tamed pets of natives and occasionally rangers, in which case they are naturally going to react to the player depending on the player's approach towards their master.
