It is the home of the (in)famous Baron Adolf Weishaupt, Grand Master of the Imperial Order of the Knights Illuminate. The castle is the historic home of the House of Weishaupt and has been in the families possesion for over 400 years. It was given to Baron Horst Weishaupt by Rudolph IV, five years before the abolition of the Monarchy.
