The Malaita dwarf kingfisher (Ceyx malaitae), is a species of river kingfisher in the Alcedinidae family. It is endemic to Malaita Island. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It was formerly considered to be a subspecies of the variable dwarf kingfisher.
