Rafael Martinez made it 2-for-2 after driving the No. 18 Canel’s/Scotiabank/Tekmol to victory in the NASCAR Mexico race Sunday at the autódromo Internacional de Zacatecas. Martinez, who won the season-opener April 1 in Amozoc, Puebla, held off Ricardo Pérez de Lara for a second straight victory. Freddy Tame finished third, followed by Luis F. Montaño and 2006 champion Jorge Goeters. Martinez stretched his points lead to 40 over Tame (365-325). Pérez de Lara and Germán Quiroga are tied for third at 313, and Goeters is fifth at 302. The series will next run May 6 at San Luis Potosi.
