The pikeman is the third tier unit of the Knight faction in Heroes of Might and Magic II, recruited by building a blacksmith. It is an average melee unit, moving at a decent speed and dealing decent damage. Its defense is unusually high for a third tier unit, however, allowing it a greater resistance to enemy attacks. It can be upgraded to the veteran pikeman.
