During his childhood Zacky with his brother, Edward, Wilbur, and Ruthie went to the witch's house to find her glass eye. When Ed met the witch, she showed him and Don their future deaths, much to their horror. Zacky's adulthood was unknown but he may have suffered through grief when his brother Don died young. When he turned into an old man he would accidently fall off the ladder and die just as the Witch predicted.
