A Trainer Class is a term used to describe a certain trainer that can be battled in the main series games. The majority of trainer classes specialize in a certain type of Pokémon and sometimes this is reflected in their class's name, such as Aroma Lady who specializes in Grass-type Pokémon. Some trainer classes also describe the prowess of their skills, such as Ace Trainers and Veterans who usually possess strong Pokémon and intelligent AIs.
