The attack left four people dead and twenty-two people badly injured with the ramifications also resulting in Delilah Fielding, a Department of Defense analyst and the girlfriend of NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee permanently paralyzed. McGee himself narrowly evaded the disaster due to having to step out of the building to receive a call from fellow NCIS Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo that warned him of the impending attack, due to a bad signal from within the building.
