Soen (祖縁, Soen) is the serpentine divinity of Sunagakure. Coursing through his veins is the blood of an unnamed clan, and with it comes their kekkei genkai. Before his destiny placed him in the sands of the Land of Wind, Soen was in the care of his mother and sister, within Ryūchi Cave. Through a strange reaction, the senjutsu chakra emitted by the snakes, merged within his fetus before birth. The result was a boy with snake-like features, garnering interest from the leader of the cave.
