The Shaman is a good addition in battle since they reduce the AP cost for using Dark Magic by one, and they have a high Intellect attribute. The Shaman allows Dark Magic to be more effective on harder enemies and bosses. Their first abilities, Ritual and Hex, are valuable for allowing status reducing spells to be used on all enemies and have a higher chance of working. The Shaman also has dangerous abilities that can stop time and reduce HP for both friend and foe alike. The job's special armor, Shaman Robe, provides a 10% boost to the user's Accuracy and Intellect.
