The USS Magellan (NCC-71820) is a Galaxy Class Battleship/Explorer in the late 24 century. In 2374, the Magellan participated in Operation Return to retake Deep Space Nine from the Dominion. The Magellan, along with the USS Venture was assigned to protect the USS Defiant but both took heavy damage. Later that year, the Magellan participated in the Chin'toka Advance and was again heavily damaged.
