The Federation construction ship was a type of construction ship in service to the United Federation of Planets in the late 24th century. The forward section of the ships are manned by a small complement of officers, with space for the work bee operators to live. The large cargo bay section of the ships themselves is protected by a huge retracting door, which when opened, allows the vast complement of work bees to carry out their construction or repair duties.
