The United States presidential election, 1996 was a presidential election, held in November 5th, 1996, which saw the victory of incumbent Democratic president Bill Clinton against Republican candidate Bob Dole and Reform Party candidate Ross Perot. This is the last election in which a President from the Democratic Party was elected.
