Saval Rech was a Shistavanen Jedi Knight and a survivor of the Third Jedi Purge. He, his Master, O'choa Pyne and twelve of her other former Padawans fled to the obscure planet of Kluistar in order to avoid Darth Krayt's Sith Empire. Among the group, Rech served as their tracker and scout, using his expert senses of smell and sight to alert the others of dangers.
