Rena was the step-daughter of the warlord Gorgas. As a child, she had been promised to Pallaeus but she fell in love with Iphicles who was posing as his brother, Hercules. Even after the deception was revealed, she loved him and forgave him. After Gorgas was defeated, the two were married (HTLJ "What's in a Name?"). Rena and her husband, Iphicles, were guests at the wedding of Alcmene and Jason. Just before the ceremony, Jason crowned Iphicles king of Corinth (HTLJ "The Wedding of Alcmene").
