Scientific Galactica was a media publication in the years preceding the Clone Wars that dealt with science-related topics. Toward the end of the Galactic Empire's reign, it claimed to be "the galaxy's leading scientific journal." It employed over 300 researchers and writers, most of which were trained in self-defense and survival. In 1 ABY, a number of its researchers were lost when attacked by creatures in the wild on Tatooine.
