Dihexalon gas, deadly to most life-forms, was used to create biochemical weapons. Developed during the years leading up to the Clone Wars, it saw limited use in battle. In 25 BBY, it was used to create a bioweapon which the crimelord "Striker" (an alias of Granta Omega) attempted to unleash on the planet Mawan.
