The Solar Fleet Commander was the director of S.A.S.A. and was based in Lunaciti. According to Dan Dare he had worked behind a desk for 15 years, and was out of touch with the challenges which spacers faced. When Dare returned from the Battle of Jupiter, the Commander awarded Mr. Monday the Solar Cross and court martialled Dare.
