In the first movie, Tang Shen's story is similar to the Mirage Comics. Her involvement with Yoshi once again attracted the jealousy of a fellow Foot Clan member, but this time it was Oroku Saki himself. Yoshi, Splinter, and Shen fled to New York to hide from Saki, but he vowed vengeance. He followed them and killed her. Yoshi returned home from work to find her lying on the floor. He saw Saki appear, and Saki wasted no words and killed him afterwards. The actress who portrayed her was uncredited.
