The Sorting Room is a PPC office dedicated to analyzing new fics for goodfic or badfic status. Agents working in the Sorting Room do not enter fics; they simply read the Words. Obvious badfic is sent straight to the appropriate department. Fics with a doubtful status are sent on to the Action side of the Department of Intelligence, where agents enter the fic and make a final judgment. Due to the increased difficulty of working without CADs, agents are assigned to sort only those fics within their specialties. The Sorting Room is part of the Department of Intelligence.
