The Second Galactic Civil War was a four-year long conflict between the New Jedi Order and the New Republic that began in 25 ABY. The devastating and bloody conflict began shortly after the Destruction of Sernpidal. The destruction of Sernpidal caused the New Jedi Order and other members of the New Republic to secede and to actively rebel against what they saw as the oppressive and corrupt New Republic.
