Chamon is the yellow wind of magic. It is the wind invoked to cast spells from the Lore of Metal. Many races and nations are learned in the magic of alchemy but none take it so far as the men of the Empire. The common people of the Empire believe that there is much money to be made as an Alchemist of the Golden Order, and many such alchemists have been involved in scandals at the imperial court. Because of the college's great wealth, there are rumours that the Gold College is never too far from the Emperor's ear.
